Does she realize what she is saying... is this supposed to be a good thing? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't both of those programs failing?
House sends health care bill to Obama's desk - Health care reform- msnbc.com: "'We will be joining those who established Social Security, Medicare and now, tonight, health care for all Americans, said Speaker Nancy Pelosi, partner to Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., in the grueling campaign to pass the legislation."
Also, what about this... "For the president, the events capped an 18-day stretch in which he traveled to four states and lobbied more than 60 wavering lawmakers in person or by phone to secure passage of his signature domestic issue. According to some who met with him, he warned that the bill's demise could cripple his still-young presidency."

Is Pres. Obama losing his steam?
There appears to be some signs that Pres. Obama is losing his steam. MSN has an article about it and a survey that you can take to express your opinion on how you feel Pres. Obama is doing.

Real life....
This supposedly came from Bill Gates, but regardless of who it came from I like what it says… though, it may appear harsh to some….
Bill Gates gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.
Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!
Rule 2: The world doesn't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.
Rule 6: If you mess up,it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.
Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.
Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

More drug news (acetaminophen, Vicodin and Percocet )
Apparently the FDA is starting to realize the damaging effects of acetaminophen, so they have decided to add new restrictions. They are also removing Vicodin and Percocet from the market.
Here is part of the article:
"Despite years of educational campaigns and other federal actions, acetaminophen remains the leading cause of liver failure in the U.S., according to the FDA."

It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
So, with all that is going on, I thought it appropriate to add "It's The End Of The World As We Know It" by R.E.M. to my collection of songs. If you actually understand the verses I am impressed. I looked up the lyrics online and realized that it is a lot of gibberish, but I'm sure they were trying to get some point across. I mainly like the music and the chorus. Enjoy!
